They Buried Her on Purpose: Why You’ve Never Heard of Maria Farmer and Why She May Crack the Epstein Files WIDE OPEN
They buried her. On purpose.
Maria Farmer was the first known survivor to report Epstein—in 1996.
And the FBI? Hung up on her.
Twenty-nine years later, she’s still fighting. And you’re just now hearing her name?
That’s by design.
Well I will not be quiet about. And hope to hell you won’t either. Here is her
Call To Action Asking folks to help her share.
Why You Never Heard Her Name:
• She wasn’t rich.
She wasn’t from the Upper East Side. She was a working-class artist. No connections. No lawyers. No headlines.
• She reported it before the movement and before there was a such a thing as going viral.
1996 was too soon—before #MeToo, before mainstream internet virality, before Weinstein cracked the dam.
She screamed into silence. And nobody listened.
• They erased her.
Even after Filthy Rich came out on Netflix and she spoke on camera, most media kept her in the shadows.
You heard about Virginia Giuffre.
You heard about Ghislaine.
But Maria Farmer? The one who walked into the FBI 25 years ago?
Crickets.
• And the man whose guest house she says she was assaulted in?
Leslie Wexner. The billionaire behind Victoria’s Secret.
The one who gave Epstein power of attorney over his entire fortune.
The one who’s never been charged, questioned, or held accountable in public.
And Now—She’s Suing the Government
In May 2025, Maria said: Enough.
She filed a federal lawsuit saying:
“The FBI and DOJ knew what Epstein and Maxwell were doing.
I told them. They did nothing.
And because they did nothing, thousands of girls were harmed.”
Who’s the suit against?
She’s named the FBI, Department of Justice, and various U.S. Attorney’s Offices, filing under the Federal Tort Claims Act. The claim? They were negligent—they failed to investigate her 1996 reports and their inaction allowed Epstein to continue harming others.
What does the lawsuit allege?
· 1996 report: Farmer claims she immediately reported Epstein and Maxwell’s assaults—plus the trafficking and child pornography—yet an FBI agent literally hung up on her, and no one followed up.
· Negligence & emotional distress: The complaint accuses federal agencies of ignoring her reports, which allowed Epstein’s abuses to escalate—leading to decades of trauma, complex PTSD, anxiety, depression, and declining health.
· Broad institutional failure: The suit ties her case to a larger pattern: federal agencies ignored multiple warning signs from 1996 to 2006, including tips of underage sex trafficking, child porn evidence, suspicious financial activity, and Palm Beach police alert.
· Systematic breakdown: The filing details how FBI and DOJ protocols were bypassed—reports were ignored or filed incorrectly, victim interviews were skipped, and crucial investigations were closed prematurely.
What’s she asking for?
She’s seeking legal accountability for federal negligence. Filed in the U.S. District Court for D.C., she aims to force transparency, demand justice, and hold agencies responsible for continuing harm. She argues that, had authorities done their job, “hundreds of victims would have been spared.”
Why it matters now
• Her case is grounded in documented federal failings across more than a decade—and the timeline is specific.
• It’s not just about her trauma; it’s a fight against systemic erasure, uncovering how those in power ignored systemic abuse.
• With high-profile reporting recently naming over 100 individuals in Epstein’s orbit—often excluding her—Farmer’s lawsuit seeks to amplify the voices and stories that were buried.
Where it goes from here…
• Legal motion filings and potential government responses
• Possible discovery on why no action was taken in 1996
• Could influence Senate hearings or internal investigations
• Sets a precedent: holding federal agencies accountable for ignoring survivor warnings
She’s not hiding—she’s standing up and speaking out, demanding accountability for how authorities failed her decades ago.
What’s in the complaint?
This legal filing has Maria’s original and detailed account of:
1. Her 1996 report to the FBI/NYPD regarding sexual assault and trafficking involving Epstein and Maxwell.
2. The FBI immediately hanging up and failing to investigate her claim — part of a broader pattern of negligence extending to other victims from 1996 to 2006.
3. Allegations of emotional and physical trauma, lifelong PTSD, and continued health suffering due to this institutional failure.
4. A claim under the Federal Tort Claims Act, holding federal agencies legally accountable for negligence and emotional distress caused by ignoring her early report.
5. Specific timeline failures: dropped protocol, no interviews, no case initiation — even after documented FBI negligence uncovered in internal reviews.

Now, I suspect, after reviewing the docket, they are sorta trying to stall her case or am I reading this wrong?
1. The case is active.
Filed: May 29, 2025
Judge: Reggie B. Walton (heavyweight, not easy to play)
2. They issued a summons.
Standard delay with government protocol—they needed corrected summons for both the U.S. Attorney and Attorney General, which Maria’s team filed and corrected immediately by June 4. That’s not stalling. That’s clerical.
BUT HERE’S THE THING…
3. Judge Walton dropped a venue challenge.
On July 1, he issued a “Show Cause” order saying:
“Tell me why this case shouldn’t be moved to the Southern District of New York.”
That’s the part that smells like stall, even if it’s legally routine. Here’s why:
TRANSLATION:
• He’s citing a previous, related case (Jane Doe 1 v. U.S.) where D.C. was ruled not the right venue.
• So now, Maria has to argue why her case should stay in D.C., not be dumped to NY where it might face different procedural hurdles or delays.
Judge’s deadline for Maria to defend venue: July 14, 2025 → She met it.
Deadline for the government to respond to her defense: July 28, 2025 → We are watching for this.
WHERE IT STANDS NOW:
· All deadlines are “held in abeyance” (frozen) until the court decides venue.
· A show cause hearing is scheduled for August 8, 2025, at 9:00 AM (via teleconference).
So, they’re not officially stalling yet, but this venue shift challenge is the kind of move that can be used to stall or reset momentum.
It’s legal, but it’s shady adjacent.
They haven’t made a move to dismiss her yet, but they’re trying to reposition the chessboard. And any time they do that, it’s either:
1. A genuine procedural issue, or
2. A way to delay the pain they know is coming.
We’ll see their hand on July 28. If they come in hot with a weak argument or drag their feet at all—that’s when we call bullshit.
What YOU can do to help her find justice for the heinous crimes perpetrated against her and her sisters:
1. Say Her Name. Loud. Often.
Post her name. Tweet it. Thread it. Speak it.
Maria Farmer is the FIRST survivor who reported Epstein—to the FBI—in 1996.
They ignored her. They hung up on her. She’s suing now.
Start every post with:
“Maria Farmer tried to stop Epstein in 1996. The FBI hung up on her. She’s suing now. Don’t let them bury her again.”
Let it ring like a damn alarm clock across the internet.
2. Call Congress – Demand a Public Hearing on DOJ Negligence
Give them this line, sharp and clean:
“Maria Farmer’s 1996 FBI report on Epstein was ignored. She’s now suing the DOJ.
We demand public hearings on the FBI and DOJ’s mishandling of sexual abuse reports.”
Target Reps:
· House Judiciary Committee
· Senate Judiciary Committee
· Any rep who claims to care about justice, survivors, or Epstein’s victims.
Use the Capitol Switchboard: 202-224-3121

We hold the line.
So from 1993-2001 the president at the time was Bill Clinton who's name appears on the Epstein list. His AG was Janet Reno. FBI director was Louis J. Freeh. From 2001- 2009 it was George W. Bush. I don't recall seeing his name on the list that was once reported. It's my subjective belief that she was purposely ignored. As a democract, anyone, whether democract or Republican, elite, wealthy, powerful etc involved with this Epstein trafficking or participated in the rape of teen girls or boys should be brought to justice.
