The interview was done for Mother Jones magazine and Stuart said that he knew Maria Farmer. He said he believed her story. He said he had spoken with her at a NYC Farmer’s Market and she had relayed her story of abuse of both her and her younger sister. Pivar stated that he stopped associating with Epstein because of it. Stuart is now 95 years old.

Stuart apparently admired Epstein’s ability to gather scientists in need of funding and then goad them at the dinner table with infantile questions that they would do their best to desperately answer, hoping for funding.
